I know the hassle you go through before leaving on a holiday if it’s just for a weekend, week or an extended trip – it’s never easy! With almost a decade of travel experience behind me I am happy to say “It does get easier!” I follow one major rule when packing for ANY trip which makes my life so much easier “pack for a week.” This might sound crazy but hear me out, a week worth of clothes is really all you need which you soon realize, at the end of the day you’re the one that has to carry all of it around. Overall it’s easier to organize, lighter to carry and allows you to add other gear to your bag. I have put together below a list of what to pack for warmer climates:

  • Lightweight Nike Tops (x2)
  • Cotton Tops (x3)

These are my MUST HAVE travel items that I have come to realize that I can’t live without after travelling to almost 100 countries over the last decade! These essential items always, and I mean ALWAYS get packed first when I’m getting organised for my next trip. Doesn’t matter if its stay in hostels, hotels, camping or traveling for a week or a year these are my go to items and here’s why:

Atlas Backpack

I LOVE this backpack! Just a quick note this is one of my most expensive items behind my camera equipment. It's an amazing backpack packing all my camera gear, tripod, laptop and a week of clothes in this carry on bag!

Packing Cubes

I swear by packing cubes (Not getting into the folding or rolling debate - p.s I'm a roller) Super affordable and I love to be super organised when traveling. If everything has a spot you know when your packing if something is missing!

Nike Shoes

I have traveled with Nike's for my whole travelling life. Many reasons why they are affordable, lightweight, pack small but mainly they are comfortable.

A must have when traveling, this head torch charges via USB so no extra batteries needed plus saves you turning the light on in the hostel if you arrive late, or have an early departure.

Travel Towel

Australian made, high quality, packs small and super lightweight. If it's showering in the hostel or swimming in the warm Croatian waters - this towel has you covered!

Travel Pillow

I originally only used this for camping but after a recent trip through the Balkans this was a life saver. Overnight buses, trains, airport delays anything relating to a travel day this comes in extremely handy. Small and lightweight!

External Battery Pack

We depend on technology so much, probably more so while traveling. This is something I can't live without perfect for charging my phone or an external battery for my camera.

Travel Adapter

Traveling to multiple countries around the world? This small lightweight travel adapter is a necessity. Extra bonus its built in with a surge protector to save your valuables.

Sony Travel Headphones

Music is a life saver for killing time while traveling. Sitting on the beach, overnight bus, exercise or editing I use these day in day out. Bonus they fold up making them perfect for travel.
